This is indeed for at least valid for the work we want and need, the creative, innovative, out-of-the-box work. For example, a client who used to work as a system designer, always went for a swim when she had to solve a complex programming problem. While swimming her lanes, she could relax and think about the problem in a different way. This led her to the solution in most of the cases.
So why do some companies still force their employees to sit in a sticky, loud office? Remote working or other alternative solutions might lead to much better results (and happier employees by the way)!
How do you play it? Do you still gather your workforce at a fixed place or do you allow them freedom in where they do their work?
